GC Chaser Eliminates Need for Liquid Coolants and Consumables

The GC Chaser is a fast, oven-cool-down device that increases sample throughput and productivity. Its simple, rugged design allows seamless integration with existing GCs. Cool-down times are reduced by augmenting normal oven ventilation, and thus no liquid coolants or consumables are required. Methods do not need to be re-validated because the time savings are not gained during the separation. A centrifugal blower and an electronic control circuit automatically activate between runs. There is no operating software, and the system is completely and automatically synchronized with the GC oven. The chaser can be mounted behind the GC or placed nearby and connected with flexible aluminum ductwork. Uses are in GC and GC-MS pharmaceutical and environmental applications.
