Force Spectrometer Characterizes Biomolecular Interactions
The ForceRobot makes force spectroscopy available to scientists, providing the necessary sensitivity to characterize biomolecular interactions such as the unfolding forces of single proteins or forces of a single chemical bond. The device features a rigid head design with optimal low noise and drift specifications, and it is mounted on an integrated vibration isolated platform. The spectrometer has an unattended operation capability to make up to 80,000 force curve measurements in 24 hours, and to customize individual experiments with varying parameters such as temperature or loading rate. The system can be monitored remotely since it is enabled through a Web interface. It delivers clear-cut results with forces and distances delivered in absolute numbers.
