Portable Gas Chromatograph Goes Anywhere Needed

Housed in a small, rugged plastic suitcase, the portable Companion GC gas chromatograph can be configured with a detector such as the mini-TCD (thermo conductivity detector) that detects virtually every compound. The PID (photo ionization detector) is used to detect aromatic compounds found in petroleum products, and the FID (flame ionization detector) can detect hydrocarbons and solvents. For military applications, such as explosive analysis in the field, the GC can also be configured with a TID (thermo ionic detector), or for nerve gas with a NPD (nitrogen phosphorus detector). Other features include electronic pressure controllers, touch-screen user interface and a fully programmable column oven. The versatility of the instrument allows it to be taken wherever sampling needs demand.
