Automated Capillary Column Connection Established in Five Steps

The Meltfit One is an efficient method for coupling capillary columns in GC, GC?GC, CZE and all other coupled-column capillary separation techniques. In five steps, the NLISIS Meltfit One establishes an automated and standardized connection between two capillary columns using a deactivated Meltfit Tube. A combination of heat and air pressure fixates the columns in the tube, establishing a seamless connection. The method has been tested with eleven connections in series without showing any noticeable band-broadening or leakage. Using the device makes coupling capillary columns simple, stable, secure and swift. In addition, it can help organizations align internal operating procedures and meet regulatory requirements.
