Uninterruptible Power Supplies Protect Sensitive Instruments
The FN Series of double-conversion, online uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs) provides users with the choice of scaling from 3 to 24 kVA or from 8 to 40 kVA in the same compact footprint as the FN Series 6-kVA unit. Parallel or N+1 redundant UPSs meet the demands of medium- to large-scale laboratories with a scalable platform. The overall cost of power protection is reduced because many pieces of equipment can be connected to a single UPS or multiple UPS systems. Three additional FN units can be connected in parallel at any time to accommodate future growth, increasing flexibility. The FN's digital signal processor controlled design provides a high level of power protection and regulation, which is demanded by sensitive instrumentation. Equipment is protected from damaging high-voltage transients and from sustained brownout conditions commonly experienced in labs.
