Metal Analyzer Utilizes Two Detector Technologies

Booth 5143. The Spectrolab stationary metal analyzer is a high-end spectrometer that employs a hybrid optic, readout system and advanced plasma generator. The instrument achieves low detection limits and is suited for metal analysis applications. The hybrid optic directly processes the light from the spark stand with up to 108 PMT detectors and 22 CCD sensors. Parallel use of the two detector technologies achieves detection limits with optimal flexibility. Detection limits are achieved below 1 mg/kg for applications such as determining trace elements (Ag, B, Ca, Cu and Mg) in iron alloys. In the CCD segment, the instrument operates with a focal length of 750 mm, enabling higher resolution measurements.
