Short Courses
One to 3 days in length, most of the short courses are scheduled the same week as the meeting. They will be offered in three hotels: The Crowne Plaza Union Square, the Renaissance Parc 55 Hotel, and the Sir Francis Drake Hotel.
Thursday and Friday, September 7 and 8, Paul Helquist, professor of chemistry at the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, will present “Synthetic Organic Chemistry: Modern Methods and Strategies” at the Crowne Plaza Union Square.
This course is suited for all chemists involved in any aspect of laboratory or manufacturing operations concerned with the preparation of organic compounds. Scientists will acquire a stronger background in the methods of organic synthesis and understand the strategies by which syntheses of organic compounds may be designed.
